2015 Haleyville/Winston Leadership Program - The City of Haleyville was recognized as an Alabama Community of Excellence in May 2005. One of the requirements for this designation was the development of a leadership program. The first leadership class was held in 2005 and has continued through sponsorship of the Haleyville Chamber of Commerce and the City of Haleyville. The goal of the program is to enhance the leadership capacity of existing and emerging leaders. Upon graduation, students possess an understanding of the inner workings of their community, providing continuity and support for growth and improvement. The next class will be August 2016 – April 2017.

Alabama Future Technology Initiative The purpose of the initiative is to establish a connection with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculums with skilled students throughout Winston County. In the process it is a direct goal of the program to encourage the curiosity associated with further development of a STEM background without the assistance of any institution, thus enriching the student and the Winston County community.
Business Owners and Members of the Community,
It’s time to update and print a new supply of the maps. These maps were last updated in Feb. 2010 and supplies have been diminished. The distribution locations are the Haleyville City Hall, Haleyville Area Chamber of Commerce, Winston County Courthouse, Winston County 911, as well as all the sponsors on the maps.
Beginning September 24th, Angela McDowell with Southern Engineering will be visiting the local business owners to renew previous ad space and also add new businesses. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE NOT MISSED, please email the address below. We will be sure you are on the list.
The sponsors advertising on the last maps will have first right of refusal, so don’t delay in letting me know if you would like your business on the new maps.
I have various sizes available…
3” x 2.15” $365.00 /you receive 50 maps 6” x 2.15” or 3” x 4.3” $715.00 /you receive 100 maps 9” x 2.15” or 3” x 6.45” $915.00 /you receive 150 maps
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, PAYMENT IS IN TWO PAYMENTS BETWEEN NOW AND THE JANUARY DELIVERY AND NO MONEY NOW.
The circulation is approximately 2-3 years, giving you the most for your advertising dollar. Now, I know I don’t have to tell you what great advertising this is. These maps are used in re-location packets for families, by visitors, as well as locals daily. The total circulation is approximately 15,000.
THESE MAPS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT TOOL IN PROMOTING THE AREA AND THE BUSINESSES AND CIVIC ENTITIES WITHIN. I welcome you to contact Debra Hood at the City Hall for verification of this project.
