The City of Haleyville is proud of the services that the Haleyville Parks and Recreation Department provide for the citizens of Haleyville. The department is a member of the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association and is directed by Nicole Wilson Cook, who is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional through the National Parks and Recreation Association. Along with the director, there are three full-time personnel and four part-time personnel. Seasonal personnel assist during peak seasons. The lifeguards at the pool are certified through the American Red Cross. |

Neighborhood Facilities Building & Gym– Administrative Office of the Parks and Recreation Staff.- 1205 10th Avenue. This facility has classrooms that can be rented out for birthday parties, family reunions, etc. |

Swimming Pool – The pool is accessible with chair that can lower you into the pool for those with disabilities. The pool is six lane 25 yard pool that ranges in depth from 3’ to 5. The diving well is from 9 – 13 foot and has two, one meter boards..
Rocky Ravine/City Lake Park – can be accessed from Highway 195 or 20th Street. The 140 acre park is made up of walking trails, hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing, waterfalls and full of wonderful things to see in this very serene setting right in the heart of town. City Lake also has a great playground and Rocky Ravine has a small playground and swings.
Scout Hut – is just that, a place for our both our boy and girls scouts to meet. The land was donated to the city with the understanding that scouts have first choice at scheduling. The facility is rented out during open times for birthday parties, reunions etc.
Ball Fields – located on 10th Avenue. Currently the city owns and maintains two softball fields and one tee ball field.
Tennis Courts – located on 10th Avenue. There are four hard courts. The tennis courts are used by the Haleyville High School Tennis Team. During the high school tennis season, court time is limited but available. Courts are open for public play.

Recreation in Haleyville see Neighborhood Facilities
The Haleyville Parks and Recreation Department operates the Neighborhood Facilities building which provides organized spor ts such as softball, tee ball, basketball, tennis, volleyball and swimming in an Olympic size outdoor pool.

The parks and Recreation Department also operate the City lake and Rocky Ravine Park.
Both facilities have picnic shelters and recreational equipment

The Haleyville Dixie Youth League, a parent’s organization, provides baseball programs for youths ages 6 thru 14. Two baseball fields, (Ben Smith Fields) are located on 13th Avenue. The program runs from May to July each year. The fields are leased from the Haleyville Lion’s Club.
