Haleyville Public Library Launches
Summer Reading Program
Haleyville Library Website >>>

"Be Creative @ Your Library” this summer at the Haleyville Public Library and explore the worlds of music, dance, art, books and more.  The 2009 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through 6th Grade, with programs, prize drawings, story hours, crafts and so much more.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom will get things kicked off this summer with an awesome program on Tuesday, June 16 beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The Mobile Dairy Classroom Program is a traveling milking parlor, featuring a live cow and an oral presentation. The trained instructors will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milk goes from the farm to the consumer, and then answer questions from the audience. This is an innovative program that brings the dairy experience directly to children.

Participants may register for the Summer Reading Program from June 1 - 16.  For more information, call the library at 205/486-7450.

All programs are free of charge.
