January 5 — Guest speaker James Brown, Division Engineer with the Alabama Department of Transportation highlighted progress and plans for improvement to the Haleyville area. Highway 13 has been re--surfaced, lights have been installed to aid with traffic flow, the three lane expansion project by WJBB looks favorable, the Haleyville by-pass is scheduled for bridge work in 2009, and the three lane at 195 (Walmart) to HWY 13 is scheduled for 2008.
