Haleyville
received a check for $5,000 in Huntsville as part of the Alabama Communities
of Excellence Program. Governor Bob Riley recognized the combined efforts
and accomplishments of Mayor Larry Albright, Ken Sunseri, community leaders and
citizens completing the ACE Program. To be recognized as a community of excellence
takes the joint collective efforts of all citizens. A direct result of the the
ACE Program is the Haleyville Historical Society and a variety of programs to
be used as Haleyville continues develop.
